Mission & Goals

Free & Equal Elections:

As a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, Free & Equal is dedicated to an open and transparent election process that gives power back to the individual voter, not to the corporations or special interests.

Mission:

Our mission is to ensure free, open and fair elections by empowering third parties, activists and independents. We work to break the stranglehold of the two-party system and add other voices—and solutions—to the debate.

Free & Equal’s mission is to reform federal, state and local elections by making it easier for candidates to get on ballots and ensure that all ballot-qualified candidates are included in various forums and debates. We are committed to utilizing our years of political experience in local and national elections to ensure all candidates understand the process of recruiting volunteers, raising money and involving themselves in strong campaigns. Free & Equal is creating a movement to inspire and support independent candidates to recruit volunteers, raise money and strengthen their campaigns. Most importantly, Free & Equal will help them WIN in 2014!

The Free & Equal movement will shift power away from the controlling few and back to freedom, liberty, and prosperity for all, in the true spirit of the United States Constitution.

Through positive, peaceful action  by activists and third parties, America can fulfill its promise of free and equal elections.

New Initiatives to Accomplish Our Goals:

Our first project is to build an elections database including candidate information on federal, state and local levels. This data will be easily accessible through Free & Equal’s website and will act as a one-stop-shop for candidate information. Our new database will allow voters to find information on a candidate’s history, past voting record and political donations from special interest groups.

To build upon this, our database will be paired with our brand new website, which will feature a coalition of similar freedom-minded groups and vetted organizations who are committed to fighting special interests and corporations. Our website will also provide vital training for independent candidates and give them the necessary tools to recruit volunteers, raise money and run winning campaigns.

Free & Equal is also working to establish of a Los Angeles studio for “Honest Media” to educate America properly and fairly during all campaigns and elections.

This Fall, Free & Equal will host a ten-city university bus tour. Through instant run-off voting online (IRV), voters will choose which universities will be part of the our National Bus tour. Notable speakers Ron Paul, Ralph Nader, Dennis Kucinich, Jill Stein, Gary Johnson and Jesse Ventura and more will be invited. Musicians Adam Levine of Maroon 5,  Alicia Keys and Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins are a few of many being considered who will generate  interest by staging concerts and educating young voters about Free & Equal’s mission.

Help Free & Equal:

For far too long, the political establishment has gone unchecked, with no one to stand in their way. Free & Equal intends to change that with our tireless work ethic and the new initiatives we have under way, but we can’t do it with our your support!

Help us keep elections FREE and EQUAL, by making a tax-free donation today!

Rather than starting a new database why not work with Project Vote Smart (votesmart.org)? They already have one and have been doing it since the mid 1980′s. We can work smarter by working together for the same cause.

Common ground = common sense and vice versa. neither party in power realizes this simple fact. Partisan tones need to be dropped off at the door to realize any real positive change. From there the powers that be and the administrators need to drop the suit and tie and roll of your selves there’s work to be done! Hire more everything!

Just like Occupy Wall Street, Occupy all mainstream news organizations, if they don’t broadcast the live debate on Nov 5th! Somebody organize an occupy event…. Please Spread the word….

Media ignores the rational and gives face time to those that elicit the strongest emotional response because that builds ratings and thereby ad revenues. Dunno what you can do about it.

Libertarian is not free. Government is not the enemy or the problem. The problem is corporate corruption and hegemony over the political system. Where does free and equal stand on that?

What you are trying to do must be done if there is ever going to be any real change; any government that is overthrown and dominated by corporations instead of serving the people who created it, is a part of the problem.Democracy is the clear solution that has avoided us because we the people suffer from extreme apathy caused by ignorance of the truth; and lack the courageous will required to build and maintain it in the face of evil people who seek to enslave and control their neighbor, and are willing to commit any act including torture and murder to maintain the status quo.
