Free and Equal Presidential Debate Series with Rep. Thomas Massie as Moderator
The Free and Equal Elections Foundation launched its 2024 Presidential Debate Series, broadcasted on CSPAN. The series includes a Democratic Primary debate with the only candidate to beat President Biden in a primary, an independent debate where over 300,000 ranked choice votes were cast on the blockchain, and a debate at Freedom Fest with Rep. Thomas Massie as a moderator!

United We Stand At SXSW
After a great turnout in Cambria, CA in 2021, United We Stand took the stage at the SXSW Festival in 2022 with Robert F. Kennedy Jr! Our presentation was co-hosted by Ahura AL and the Independent National Union.
2020
Free and Equal Hosts 2020 Presidential Debate Series
The Free and Equal Elections Foundation hosted its 2020 Presidential Debate Series, the third of which was hosted at the Independent National Convention and the first having so many candidates it required two sessions. The United We Stand Tour also continued its yearly run with Thrive Fest in Hawaii, Tribal Vision Festival in New Mexico, and a Pre-Debate Show in Denver, CO before the second debate.
2019
Blockchain App Begins Development
Construction of Free and Equal’s blockchain voting app on the Nexus 3D blockchain begins development! Concurrently, the United We Stand Tour continued at Earth Day Festival, Sister Winds Festival, Knead Peace, Freedom Rising Convergence and Politcon, while the annual Election Reform Symposium was held again at The Lot in Denver, CO.
2017-2018
Governor Debates
After the 2016 election opened a wider consciousness for independents and fair debate, Free and Equal Elections Foundation held gubernatorial debates for Colorado in 2017 and California in 2018. Of course, these took place in the midst of another year of United We Stand touring in Texas A&M University, two panels at Politicon (Crypto & Blockchain, Breaking the Stranglehold of the Two-Party Duopoly), and our annual Election Reform Symposium.
2016
The 2016 Independent Presidential Debate
The year 2016 was known worldwide for how widely hated America’s duopoly presidential candidates were. Free and Equal Elections Foundation did its part to fight back by hosting the only debate that year for alternative presidential choices. And it did this while continuing with the United We Stand Festival, its Election Reform Symposium, and a panel at Politicon. Plus, the website you are reading right now was relaunched!
2013-2015
Free and Equal Expansion
With ten new full time volunteer staffers and a full office, Free and Equal expanded from the success of its 2012 televised debates to host a Gubernational Debate for Colorado. The organization’s larger presence helped it establish the Free and Equal TV network, bring Chuck D and Jahi from PE 2.0 to the 2015 United We Stand Festival after a strong 2014 Festival, and host two more Election Reform Symposiums.
2012
The 2012 Free and Equal Debates w/ Larry King and RT America
With strong candidates from the Greens, Libertarians, Constitution, and Justice Parties, Free and Equal hosted two live debates in the 2012 presidential election. Larry King co-moderated the first one, and the second was broadcast live on RT America. Free and Equal also held a forum against the “Top Two” voting scheme and a separate Election Reform Symposium.
2009-2010
The Illinois Gubernatorial Debate Series and First Election Reform Symposium
Now established with the quality of its presidential debates, Free and Equal hosted a series of four gubernatorial debates for the great state of Illinois at universities across the state, as well as a California gubernatorial and Connecticut Senatorial debate. The Annual Election Reform Symposium was launched to gather, spread, and evolve knowledge of the election reforms needed to develop independent politics in America. Free and Equal also held a press conference to start its advocacy against the anti-reform “Top Two” voting system.
2008
Free and Equal Elections Foundation Launches First Presidential and Vice Presidential Debate
The Free and Equal Elections Foundation launched its inaugural Presidential debate between Independent stalwart Ralph Nader and Constitution Party candidate Chuck Baldwin, moderated by Pulitzer Prize winner Chris Hedges. Following the attention that earned, a Vice Presidential debate was held that included their running mates Darrell Castle and Matt Gonzalez along with the Libertarian VP candidate Wayne Allen Root.
