Watch our Presidential Debate Promo

Hosted by the Free & Equal Elections Foundation, and sponsored by media and grassroots organizations across the political spectrum and the globe.

The Commission on Presidential Debates sponsors all mainstream presidential debates and executes debate contracts drafted by the Republican and Democratic campaigns. Debate contracts contain secretive provisions that sanitize debates, disregard viable third-party and independent candidates, and prohibit participation in other independent debates. The four confirmed candidates represent a balanced blend of left and right leaning ideas to engage, educate and enlighten a worldwide audience.

Questions include foreign policy, the economy, civil rights, and other critical policy issues that affect not only Americans, but the rest of the world as well.

Free & Equal and our sponsors are here to build inspiring and real candidates with fresh ideas to guide us towards a free, peaceful, and prosperous future for everyone.

Don’t miss this historic presidential debate broadcast online and via satellite worldwide at www.freeandequal.org/live. Other media outlets to be announced soon!

If President Obama wanted to really get the votes, him and his campaign should really show up for this debate. Even if he lost the debate itself. It would be a win over the Romney campaign ticket, becasue the President would show he is willing to acknowledge the other campaigns and debate their ideas.

    • http://www.campaignseeds.com/ Anthony Astolfi

Hey Michael, While I agree that Obama should participate in the debate, I think it would hurt his re-election chances. The third party candidates have actual ideas for today’s problems (although I don’t agree with all of them) and don’t just spew party leader approved talking points… Obama would be exposed even further as a fraud.

      • Jerome Bishop

by contract, neither of them could show up to this even if they wanted to! http://thepage.time.com/2012/10/15/the-complete-m-o-u/

Romney kept asking questions to Obama last night. He already broke section 5(e). After skimming through the document, I didn’t even see a provision stating what would happen if they broke the rules. Barrack and Mitt could have their final debate and still attend this one, without any repercussions. We already know they are liars so it won’t hurt their credibility at all. As Anthony pointed out though, it probably wouldn’t be in their best interest to be ridiculed by the patriots involved in this debate.

Finally! Something we can watch and get information from that’s not going to be biased!

Thank you Free and Equal!!! The only thing I might do slightly different
is to promote the event as “All Six Viable Candidates Invited” and show
the photos of all six and treat it as though we expect all six to show
up unless for some reason they choose not to face their constituents.
Maybe I’m a little too “in your face,” but I’d even be tempted to set up
six podiums with the names of all six on the podiums so if the duopoly
candidates don’t show up they will be seen for the empty suites (or
empty podiums) that they really are.

You should email them this. I think that is a GREAT idea. It would be quite the statement.

    • John

Technically only Gary Johnson, Barack Obama, Jill Stein, and Mitt Romney are viable because they are the only ones with access to at least 270 electoral votes.

  • Zachariah

How does one in Chicago attend the debate in person? Are there tickets?

    • joe

I would also like to know this.

There are tickets…not sure where you get them…heard this from the Virgil Goode campaign…

  • Manfred

Watched Christina Tobin’s interview on RT. Excellent!

Thank you Free and Equal. Thank you Larry King! I would have promoted Obama and Romney as being invited to this event. When they don’t show up, the American People will see first hand how much the Dems and Republicans REALLY care.

I’m so glad you are doing this, too bad Larry Kings influence didn’t make it viable to put it on one of the main TV Channels!

  • mthen

Invite at least 2 of these candidates please! Peta Lindsay (Party for Socialism and Liberation), TJ O’Hara (Modern Whig Party), and Tom Hoefling (America’s Party).

I’d be interested in seeing this if Gary Johnson had competition – perhaps the Objectivist Party candidate challenging him in the debate. The other 3 here are supporting nothing but the treehugging and lunatic fringe.

  • corey

I live abroad and would like to hear this debate, since video streaming is so poor here. Does anyone know if it will be available for an audio download or at least a transcript?

The Libertarians are coming! The Libertarians are coming!! Thank you geezus the Libertarians are coming!!

Jill Stein is an awesome and smart lady who has such bright ideas on how we can bring the huge amounts of money we spend in wars, incarcerating millions in the prison industrial system , most of which is due to the failed policy on the war on drugs, she says we need to break up the big, criminal banks, have a progressive income tax, and much more. If we just did these few things, there would be enough money for every student to get a free college education, and create jobs that protect the planet without blowing off mountain tops, fracking and poisoning our water and air, jobs would be created towards a green economy with emphasis on repairing our infrastructure-roads, schools, bridges, tunnels, dams, etc. (Something Obama promised to do—but didn’t. She would end the use of drones to bomb people living in mud huts in far off Africa and elsewhere, and would end the Patriot Act and NDAA law.
We can all help and support Jill Stein and then-wouldn’t the tow party duopoly be surprised if she got the most votes-I don’t think the Supreme Court R.A.T.S. (Roberts, Alito, Thomas, or Scalia could do anything about it. But I know they would try. Oh, yes, they would try.

This is why these debates are so important. We all need the opportunity to hear ALL the candidates and make an educated decision based upon a fair and equal election. Thank you for posting this. I didn’t know anything about Jill Stein until reading your comment and I look forward to learning more during tonight’s debate.

  • Dave in Sacramento

Seeing as our global future is at stake, I would run this debate for as many hours as the candidates can answer questions, and second the motion to invite the Republican and Democratic candidates, It would be real diplomacy,
making obvious the olive branch does not extend both ways.

Yeah, Bob, good idea! Leave the empty podiums w their names on them! Liking it!

Great discussion! These topics were glaringly absent in the official debates. Sorry about the technical difficulties..but otherwise, wonderful.
