Thank you for presenting this debate. I’d like to ask the candidates about my #1 issue: the economy – When you become President and you put forth a budget, what are the numbers for the next five years? This provides budget for a 4 year plan + 1 year into the next administration.

Will obama and
romney attend or are they too cowardous to show up for a real debate?

Thank you for doing this. I hope Larry asks challenging questions and I hope millions are watching to see what real choices and real answers are. I’m with Johnson all the way but the others are serious candidates with honest philosophical bases for their positions and I respect them all.

This is the best idea yet. I commend whoever came up with this idea. The king makers in DC have no shame but are afraid to admit they are corrupt to the core publicly and want to simply maintain the pretense, the window dressing of democracy without the substance in policy the public is demanding. Now we can hear a debate with real substantive policy being discussed. Policy we can all sink our teeth into. With Romney and Obama I feel I’m eating a twinky. All fluff and no there, there.

What a breath of fresh air! And Larry King to boot! I don’t think I’ve been this excited since the first release of Star Wars.

Happy to have made my donation in support of this event but I’d like to ask you to change the wording in the option labeled “I’d like to chip in $5 to help Free & Equal put on the debate!” on the RSVP page. When I clicked through after selecting that option the lowest selectable donation amount was $10. It’s easily changed to $5 by selecting “Other” and manually entering the value but it felt dishonest and should be changed (either to $10 on the RSVP page or automatically enter $5 on the donation page) if the intent is not to be misleading. The bandwidth problem that has made Gary Johnson’s Google + episodes a bad experience (for me) could be relieved by small still images of each candidate while they speak. Those plus their audio would reach more people……just sayin’…:)

I’ve decided to vote for Obama since it really could come down to a couple hundred voted in NV, and Mitt Ronney scares the crap out of me. To help clear my conscious I’m donating to Free & Equal, Gary Johnson and Jill Stein. I know it’s not as good as a vote (or a vote and a contribution) but if Romney wins I’m moving to the freaking moon.

Such a relief to watch a debate with individuals who genuinely believe what they are saying. Hoping the next debate can explore some of the details of how these (especially liberal) plans are going to work beyond the offer of wonderful promises. How do I get invited to the next debate in D.C.?

It was an engaging and lively debate that put the 2-party debate to shame. That was real democracy instead of staged democracy for the lemmings.

that was awesome, the truth was spoken, people were civil, and real plans for REAL change were laid out on the table.

Just tossed you folks a bit of money. I doubt it paid for Larry King’s green room bill (or Jill Stein’s plane fare), but every little bit helps.

Also… you need to have a serious talk with your sound engineer. The intro and outro music was. HORRIBLE. Were you playing it off an analog tape? it was very very distorted!

Yea..that is a huge turn off.. I do not like LIARS.. and this lil bait and switch almost made me not contribute anything,, but I did give the $5 next time if I see that I will give a penny with a note.. shouldnt have lied.

Some personal views of what I learned about the debate is candidates are complaining about too much money in politics. Money in politics is actually good because “We the people” decide who to give our money to and naturally those with the most money get a bigger megaphone. We just need to ensure no unfair advantage is given to any particular group with public (tax payer) money.

I am fired up about last nights debate!! It is crucial that we hear from these candidates! Say NO to the “ObamaRomney” Corporate America sludge that is being pushed through the media. Just finished watching this past week’s debate. THANK YOU for all you do!

I am so glad that I found Free & Equal as a retiree of the U.S. Army. At 58 years old since I was 17 years old in 1971. America has always been on a warmongering footing for the sake of Imperialism. I realize that both are parties are just opposite ends of the same corrupt coin. Maybe by donating to Free & Equal we can change course of America before it too late and we all end up like Nazi, Germany after WW II.

system! If you are invited to a debate with other Presidential
candidates and you turn it down, you are not a viable candidate in my

Thank you free and equal! $10 isn’t much, but if the tens of thousands of people who watched the first debate all stand up for this organization, we can surely begin to bring in millions of viewers next time.

We need to get behind more openness and transparency in US Presidential elections. In 2012, any candidate who is on the ballot in all fifty states and the District of Columbia should be included in the Presidential Debates. Gary Johnson was a more qualified Presidential Candidate than Ross H. Perot. Ross Perot was included in all the 1992 Presidential Debates.

I’m honored to help. Thank you for doing this for America. Dr. Stein and Governor Johnson make me proud.

The voice of other parties that represent the opinions and aspirations of other Americans must be taken into account, heard, and given a fair chance to win the elections, and they should be included in the main debates. This is a good start.

We need more choices to have a real democracy in this country. We need candidates that are not bought and paid for by corporations!

America isn’t a 2-party country, everybody should donate here so that people can understand that.

We need debates with candidates that actually answer the questions posed. You should have invited Obama and Romney, even if you knew that they would not attend.

I believe that ALL parties running, and qualified to run, should be allowed to have a voice. I am disgusted to find out the way our elections are run. I think that Gary Johnson is an honest to God true hope for the United States and it is a travesty that he has been shut out.

I suspect there is a good reason for you folks initiating that survey to “Vote for the best two” after the last debate. However, to me, it seems totally antithetical to this idea of having more voices being included in every debate. Unless the participating parties voluntarily withdraw, I think you need to rethink this concept next time, otherwise it appears to me that it runs the risk of becoming the very same thing we say we are against, a faux popularity contest with narrow political perspectives. For now, I’m with you. It’s an experiment that I hope we can all see a positive outcome from. Thanks, again!

Enjoyed the last last debate, as I consider it the only worth while debate. We need all the help we can get for a third party in this country before we lose our freedoms that American GI’s are dying for in other countries.

Thank you so much for giving the candidates a chance to share their views for leadership in this country. I’ve been fighting so hard to show people we are not limited to the two parties on parade. It is nice to know that there is an organization out there fighting for the same thing.

The debate is important in order to present more then just what the two major parties have shown. It’s way past time for the voters to wake up. The political process must give the voters real choices. The insane path being lead by the “Robamney” gang will lead to the destruction of this country!

I love that the green party and the libertarians are for an end to the drug war and they both support medical marijuana, as well as the right of our farmers to grow industrial hemp! That’s a great step to a real recovery of our economy and our freedom!

A $$$ to push the bullies aside and help give exposure to those whose voice is not as audible as the bullies but that probably possess (if not more) as much talent as the bullies. By they way, if one wants to contribute from outside the US (I, for example), one can’t enter the correct telephone number because the webform doesn’t accept non-US-formatted phone numbers. Fix?

Watching the third-party debates, I’m reminded of the real issues and perspectives on dealing with them, rather than the carefully calculated platitudes and oneupsmanship offered by the republicrats.

I donated because I completely support free and equal… It is hope for the future. I considered not voting in this election because I am so dissatisfied with the Republicans and Democrats. The 4 way debate in Chicago moderated by Larry King was awesome! What a breath of fresh air to hear these presidential candidates talk about the real issues. I hope Monday’s debate is able to stream without the technical hitches we experienced with the Nader debate tonight.

Btw, I was a little disconcerted when I went to Rt.com to look for updates and instead of seeing a banner for tomorrow’s debate (Monday), saw a big one for “Tuesday’s debate”, which has caused at least some people to think the next debate is on Tuesday. (I was able to correct a couple friends) It would be good to have the promo for the next debate up and prominent, no? And where to look for the feed..

Thanks for doing these debates. They are so important! Shame on Cspan and the rest of the media for not carrying them. (tho cspan did carry the last one, tho archived it under events instead of under Campaign Debates as they should and where it would able to be found by anyone looking there for presidential debates.)

It is vital to open up the election process to more candidates to give voters a greater chance to elect the most qualified person in our national community to the Executive Branch.

I’m interested in stopping the hypocrisy, so that we can live in a democracy.
If there is an answer I’m interest in the effort.

Free & Equal provided a valuable service. Hope it is around for future election campaigns. It would be great if it could morph into a full time source. My sister-in-law wouldn’t give the alternative party candidates consideration because she doesn’t hear about them tell close to the election, leaving her feeling their not viable, and thus, a wasted vote.

The two-party system has our great nation more divided than ever. All four candidates that I saw were far above the two we were offered .Only by speaking the truth as best as we can will America travel in that direction .

As a Ron Paul and then after he didn’t get the nomination a Gary Johnson supporter, I’m 100% behind a push to get the American people more political choices and ending the death grip the current corrupt parties have on our country. The depth of knowledge and the refreshing candor I witnessed from all the candidates participating in this past year’s independent debate hosted by the Free & Equal was a real inspiration to me. If things don’t change, this country will be the new China. Slavery already is rampant through non-living wages, the industrial prison complex, lack of educational opportunity and the chemical lobotomy more than half of the country is under, due to the Pharmaceutical and Industrialized Farming Industry owning the FDA, CDC, USDA… along with most every other Government acronym agency supposedly in place to protect us. If that group of criminals doesn’t own it, the Banks and Religous sectors do. We need a real choice in who runs this country, to get things back from the Oligarchy.

I think it is reprehensible the way the Dem-Rep parties have a monopoly on televised debates for elected office, especialy for president. As long as that goes on we are not a government of the people. We are more of a “Boss Tweed democracy: I don’t care who you vote for as long as I do the nominating.”

While I can’t make it to Arkansas for this event, being able to send someone to take my place and be my voice is important to me. Without honest elections we will never be a true democracy or even truly free.

Been a Libertarian Party member since 1995. The time is LONG overdue for equal ballot access and media coverage.
